The powerhouses from Ireland - Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott and Henry de Bromhead - will once again be having their say at the forthcoming Cheltenham Festival. Whilst the British juggernauts like Nicky Henderson, Paul Nicholls, Ben Pauling and Dan Skelton look particularly potent this time around as they look to wrest the Prestbury Cup from their counterparts.

However, there are other bit parts that can be accomplished with the right tackle and there are several seriously talented trainers in the home ranks that could also have their day in the sun at Prestbury Park this year.

The 2025 Festival was a feasting ground for Jeremy Scott as Golden Ace landed an incident-packed Champion Hurdle and she is back to defend her crown whilst Rebecca Curtis has high hopes of Gold Cup success with Haiti Couleurs, who provided the Welsh trainer with victory in the National Hunt Chase.

The Scots were not be left out of the party as Lucinda Russell landed the Ultima Handicap Chase with Myretown who is also back bidding for a repeat success. Jagwar who took the TrustATrader Plate last year for Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero is another on duty once more.

Several trainers talked to Tony Elves of attheraces.com to discuss their hopes as the four of the most exciting days of the National Hunt season are almost upon us.
