Dan Skelton has a vice-like grip on a first National Hunt Trainers’ Title as the Jumps season winds down to its finale at Sandown this month but his quest for further winners remains undiminished as three days of the Grand National Festival commence on Thursday.

With the over £4 million in the coffers and no perceivable threat from Willie Mullins who caught him close home in the past two seasons the champagne corks could soon be flying. If the headline writers are looking for a fairytale ending, it could it be victory for Skelton’s Panic Attack in Saturday’s Grand National to complete a season for the mare that has seen her improve dramatically this term.

With the big meeting at Aintree almost upon us, Dan kindly talked to Tony Elves of attheraces.com about some of his main prospects in a hectic week ahead.
