Monday’s Flat meeting at Salisbury hinges on an 8am inspection due to an adverse weather forecast.
Racing took place at the Wiltshire track on Sunday, when the going was described as heavy. With rain due overnight and in the morning, officials have felt it prudent to hold an inspection.
The course tweeted: “Official Announcement regarding racing tomorrow – Monday 30th April: Inspection at 8am in view of the possibility of overnight and morning rain.”
Nottingham’s Flat card on Tuesday must pass a 4pm precautionary inspection on Monday.
Currently the ground at Colwick Park is soft but the forecast for Monday is not
A band of heavy rain is due to move in from the east and officials will have a
better idea of where they stand late on Monday afternoon.
The forecast for Tuesday is more favourable with temperatures rising to 13C.
