Marco Botti is leaning towards sending Aljazzi straight to Royal Ascot for a second shot at the Duke of Cambridge Stakes.
The five-year-old could bid to go one better in the mile contest on June 20, after finishing an encouraging third on her return in a Group Two over the same trip at Sandown.
Botti said: “The ground was not ideal, as the rain made it soft ground before the race, but we took the chance and I think she ran really well.
“The winner (Addeybb) keeps improving and Stormy Antarctic has good form on soft ground. To finish behind them is pleasing on her first run.
“We did have her in the Lockinge as well, but we decided to go for that. There is no doubt she is a filly that loves to run fresh.
“She won’t have many runs this year. The target I imagine will be to go straight to Royal Ascot.
“That was her best run last season and going straight to Ascot gives her time to recover. There is the Falmouth to look at after that.”
