Connections of Regal Reality have earmarked the 32Red Mile at Haydock on September 8 as a potential port of call.
The Sir Michael Stoute-trained son of Intello could take in the Group Three prize, better known as the Superior Mile, having claimed an impressive victory at the same level in the Thoroughbred Stakes at Goodwood last time out.
Chris Richardson, racing manager to owners Cheveley Park Stud, said: “We are looking at contesting the Superior Mile. That is what Sir Michael mentioned to me in passing.
“It was an eyecatching performance at Goodwood and he has come out of the race fine.
“He has not quite put the weight back on as quickly as we thought, as he was considered for the Celebration Mile even though he would have had to be supplemented.
“Sir Michael said his last race took a bit more out of him than he thought, so we decided to bypass Goodwood. Haydock comes at about the right time.”
