Arctic Fire is likely to be kept over hurdles for the time being by his relatively new trainer Denis Cullen.

Cullen was sent the 2015 Champion Hurdle runner-up after he had initially been retired by owner Nick Peacock and Willie Mullins.

However, his injury healed and Cullen felt there was still life in the nine-year-old and he proved that by winning at Cork last time out.

“I haven’t schooled him over fences yet and there isn’t anything for him for a couple of weeks, so we’ll mull things over, but I’d imagine he’ll stay over hurdles for the moment,” said Cullen.

“I’ll probably give him a go in a graded hurdle and see if he can be competitive at this stage and then decide if he could jump a fence.”
