Another All-Weather Championships title is likely to be the ultimate aim for Corinthia Knight after a disappointing effort in Canada on Sunday.
Archie Watson’s colt was crowned champion in the three-year-old division in March and after finishing down the field in a French outing in May, he came home last of seven in the Grade One Highlander Stakes at Woodbine at the weekend.
Watson believes Corinthia Knight gave away any chance of victory in the preliminaries and will the son of Society Rock will now be gelded.
He said: “He was incredibly coltish and he ran his race before the start in terms of expending his energy.
“He’s coming home now and he will be gelded.
“The Queensferry Stakes at Chester could be an option for him, but he will obviously have a busy winter with the All-Weather Championships the aim again.
“If he’s going well in February, there is also a six-furlong race in Qatar (Dukhan Sprint) that would be on my radar.”
