Frankie Dettori has rubbished rumours that he will retire following today’s Investec Derby at Epsom.

Rumours had been circulating the 47-year-old would call it a day after riding the Dermot Weld-trained Hazapour in the mile-and-a-half showpiece.

But the multiple Classic-winning rider put to bed that speculation in the wake of his victory aboard the Martyn Meade-trained Wilamina in the Princess Elizabeth Stakes.

He said: “I’m not retiring. There is a rumour going around saying that I’m going to retire after the Derby.

“I’m definitely not retiring and you definitely have another five years of putting up with me.”
