Wells Farhh Go in line for King Edward tilt at Royal Ascot

St Leger the ultimate aim

Up to £40 in bonus funds

Wells Farhh Go has been given the green light to contest the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot rather than than the Queen’s Vase.

Tim Easterby’s three-year-old lost his unbeaten record in the Dante Stakes at York recently but was not disgraced.

While Easterby took him out of the Derby, he still has big-race plans, with the St Leger at Doncaster in September his ultimate aim.

“He’s in the two races (at Royal Ascot), but we’re going to go for the mile-and-a-half race.

“Whether it’s the right thing to do, I don’t know, but we’re wanting to take things one step at a time with him.

“There’s a nice race in France, but that clashes with Ascot, so we’ll go there.

“He’s in grand form.”
