I’m So Fancy ran out an emphatic winner of the Listed McDonnell’s Bar June Fest Silver Stakes at the Curragh for Jessica Harrington.
Fourth in the Group Three Blue Wind Stakes at this track on her reappearance and third last time out in Listed company at Gowran Park, Colm O’Donoghue’s mount sat just off the early pace set by Tennessee Wildcat.
The four-year-old had taken over by the two-furlong pole and raced clear from there, recording a three-and-three-quarter-length success over 6-4 favourite Mustajeer.
Harrington said: “She deserved that as she was knocking on the door all last year.
“People were saying does she really stay a mile and a quarter, but she won that by staying. She was very, very good.
“She’s in various races and I’ve just been running her in every race. She handles any ground, she goes on soft and goes on everything.
“Jim (Nicholson) isn’t here today as he’s in Portugal and Homer (Scott), who owns half of her, isn’t here because he hasn’t been very well.
“We’ll put her in all those mile and mile-and-a-quarter races.”
