Without Parole, Tip Two Win and Romanised all feature among 10 colts declared for the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday.
The John Gosden-trained Without Parole is the marginal favourite for the Group One contest having won each of his three starts to date, completing his hat-trick in the Listed Heron Stakes at Sandown last month.
However, even his trainer has admitted his charge will need to raise his game significantly if he is to reach of the level of Roger Teal’s 2000 Guineas runner-up Tip Two Win and Ken Condon’s Irish 2,000 Guineas hero Romanised.
Gosden also saddles outsider Kings Shield.
Aidan O’Brien has claimed this prize on a record seven occasions and is triple-handed in this year’s renewal.
US Navy Flag, Gustav Klimt and Threeandfourpence all bid to reverse form with Romanised after finishing second, third and fourth respectively in the Irish Guineas.
Godolphin’s Wootton placed fourth in the French 2000 Guineas and crosses the Channel.
Martyn Meade’s Chilean and the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Gabr complete the field.
