Settle For Bay is to seek Listed honours following his emphatic victory in the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot.
Trainer David Marnane is targeting the Platinum Stakes over a mile at Cork on August 11 for the progressive four-year-old gelding, who demolished 29 rivals in some style in what is regarded as one of the toughest handicaps in the entire calendar.
“He is good. He came out of the race very well, we are delighted with him and he travelled home well,” said the County Tipperary handler.
“I’d say he will have a little break now and he’ll come back in six or seven weeks’ time for a race at Cork, the Platinum Stakes.
“Then he might go to York for the Strensall Stakes. We’ll definitely be keeping Dubai in mind for him, so we’ll work back from there.”
