Aidan O’Brien’s US Navy Flag is among a field of 11 declared for the Emirates Poule D’Essai Des Poulains, the French equivalent of the 2000 Guineas, at ParisLongchamp on Sunday.

Last year’s Dewhurst and Middle Park winner will attempt to redeem his reputation following a disappointing seasonal comeback on heavy ground at Leopardstown last month.

Hey Gaman takes his chance after trainer James Tate decided to sidestep the Qipco 2000 Guineas at Newmarket last weekend while John Gosden saddles the other two UK contenders, Il Primo Sole and Kings Shield.

The Godolphin-owned Wootton, trained by Henri-Alex Pantall, is one of the leading French-based contenders along with Jean-Claude Rouget’s Olmedo and Dice Roll, trained by Fabrice Chappet.
