Warren Greatrex will not rush into making any grand plans for Emitom following his debut victory over hurdles at Ffos Las on Friday.
The Lambourn handler intends to take it one step at a time with the four-year-old after he maintained his unbeaten record when backing up bumper wins at Warwick and Ascot with victory over two and half miles at the Welsh venue.
Greatrex said: “He will go somewhere small again, but what he did at Ffos Las was pretty good. He has always been very promising and at the moment he has the world at his feet.
“He has got lots of speed, but he stays well and he jumped great at Ffos Las. It has taken him time to get the hang of jumping, but he is only four and has got lots of time on his side.
“He will tell me where we go this season. Whether he ends up being a Cheltenham horse just yet, I’m not sure, we will play it by ear.”
