Pocket Dynamo will have a workout at the weekend before he heads to America with the aim of running in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at Churchill Downs in early November.
Trainer Robert Cowell is building the son of Dialed In back to peak condition after being under a cloud following his run in the Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte in July when he was fourth to Signora Cabello.
He had only been beaten a nose by Shang Shang Shang in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot on his previous start.
“He’s doing great. He’s going to work on Saturday, and if he works well he’s due to fly out to go for a ‘win and you’re in’ race at Keeneland the following Sunday after he arrives there,” said the Newmarket handler.
“Then he’ll stay in America and hopefully run in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile over five and a half furlongs. That’s the plan.
“He’s been working great. He was a bit of a sick horse for the past couple of months – which is why he hasn’t run back at all – but it looks like he’s come right.”
