Sir Michael Stoute’s Crystal Ocean will aim to repeat his win of 12 months ago in the bet365 Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown.

The top-class colt, who went on to win the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot before finishing second in the King George to stablemate Poet’s Word and in the Champion Stakes to Cracksman, narrowly beat Fabricate last year and faces the Queen’s horse once more.

Seven have been declared in the Group Three contest, including Andre Fabre’s Trais Fluors, Juddmonte International third Thundering Blue and Harry Dunlop’s Knight To Behold.

In the bet365 Classic Trial, Andrew Balding’s exciting Bangkok faces six rivals.

Placed behind some nice types last season, Bangkok looked to have done well through the winter when winning decisively from a subsequent winner at Doncaster.

John Gosden runs two, the once-raced Alfaatik and Travel On.

Persian Moon had some smart form last season for Mark Johnston and makes the journey south, while Richard Hannon’s Kuwait Currency is the highest-rated in the field.

Roger Varian’s Prince Eiji, who beat Bangkok last year, and Technician give the race plenty of depth.

William Haggas’ Addeybb will look to repeat his victory of last year in the Group Two bet365 Mile.

Whereas 12 months ago he was heading there on a high after winning the Lincoln, he has not won in three runs since and is fitted with cheek pieces for the first time.

Balding’s Beat The Bank, Hannon’s Good Friday winner Oh This Is Us, Varian’s Sharjah Bridge and David O’Meara’s Suedois are all among an eight-runner field.
