Agrapart is an eyecatching entry in the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup Stayers at Ascot on Saturday.

The Nick Williams-trained eight-year-old has won the Betfair Hurdle, the Relkeel Hurdle and the Cleeve Hurdle during a distinguished jumping career and has not been seen in competitive action since winning on the Flat at Ascot in May.

He is one of 29 entries for this two-mile contest, with Simon Crisford’s course winner Saroog among his potential rivals.

The hat-trick-seeking Mandarin heads a five-strong team for Ian Williams in the Shergar Cup Challenge over a mile and a half, while the Richard Hughes-trained Another Batt and Linda Jewell’s Breden are the two top-rated horses in the Shergar Cup Mile.

Global Falcon (Charlie Hills), Hamish (William Haggas) and Rowland Ward (Ralph Beckett) are among the possible players in the Shergar Cup Classic.

Kinks (Mick Channon) and Pass The Vino (Paul d’Arcy) were separated by just a neck when first and second at Newmarket last month and could renew rivalry in the concluding Shergar Cup Sprint.
