Danny Tudhope is looking forward to his first appearance at the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup on Saturday.
The Scotsman is currently involved in an enthralling battle to be champion jockey with Oisin Murphy, and his invite comes after a stellar Royal Ascot at which he rode four winners.
Tudhope forms part of the Great Britain and Ireland team, along with Jamie Spencer and captain Tadhg O’Shea.
“It’s exciting, I’m looking forward to it, it’s something you don’t get to do very often and I might not get the chance to do it again,” Tudhope told Sky Sports Racing.
“So I’m looking forward to it and it will be a good experience and it should be a fun day.
“You don’t expect to get these invitations very often and when something like this comes up it’s exciting times.
“It’s a team game, it should be good fun and a good day. I should enjoy it.”
