John Gosden enjoyed a one-two in the Betway Quebec Stakes at Lingfield after a convincing victory from Dubai Warrior.

The three-year-old followed up a victory at Chelmsford in November with an impressive performance in the Listed contest, defeating stablemate Court House by three and three-quarter lengths in the process.

The success is a third in the race for Gosden and jockey Robert Havlin, who teamed up to take the £21,000 prize last year with Wissahickon.

“For me, that was Dubai Warrior’s best performance to date,” said Havlin of the 8-11 favourite.

“He gave me a different feel today and found a gear when I asked him. He looks a good prospect for the Winter Derby on the back of that.

“He relaxed through the race and quickened up quite well off the turn. I was not sure how well he would quicken up, but physically he is a very imposing character and has filled into his frame now.

“We always thought he was a nice horse and he is starting to look that way again. I don’t think this guy has stopped improving yet.”

Elsewhere on the card, Rock On Baileys took the Ladbrokes Home Of The Odds Boost Fillies’ Conditions Stakes for Amy Murphy and Lewis Edmunds after seeing off favourite Lucymai in the final furlong.

The four-year-old, who went to post at a price of 11-4, ran towards the rear of the four-runner field before picking off each of her rivals as the furlong marker approached.

David Elsworth and William Carson teamed up to take the Betway Handicap with 7-4 favourite Entangling.

The five-year-old held off a challenge from eventual runner-up Circus Couture to prevail by a neck, with 2017 Quebec Stakes winner Petite Jack a further three-quarter length behind in third.

Hollie Doyle’s spell of stellar form continued as she took the Ladbrokes Where The Nation Plays EBF Novice Auction Stakes aboard Archie Watson’s Rhubarb Bikini, who started the race as evens favourite.

Robert Eddery’s George Thomas defied odds of 16-1 when victorious in the Betway Casino Handicap, prevailing by a length under Selma Grage to defeat 3-1 shot Katherine Place.
