Ruby Walsh was sitting out the weekend action after bruising a foot in a fall at Thurles on Thursday.

Willie Mullins’ stable jockey was not in action at Fairyhouse on Saturday and the yard’s four runners at Naas on Sunday are set to be ridden by Paul Townend.

“He’s just sore. He’s got a bruised foot, that’s all,” said his sister and agent, Jennifer Walsh.

“I don’t know how long he’ll be out for, but it’s no big deal.”

Walsh sustained the injury when taking a tumble from Harrie at the sixth flight when out in front in the Michel Purcell Novice Hurdle.

The next scheduled meeting in Ireland is at Clonmel on Thursday.
