Evan Williams is considering several Champion Hurdle trial options for his improving grey Silver Streak.
The six-year-old started the current campaign with a rating of 139, and was an easy winner of the Welsh Champion Hurdle.
He then finished second in the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham off 6lb higher before stepping up again at the same track to chase home Brain Power in the International.
“He’ll run somewhere before March,” said Williams.
“We’ll be considering all the trials, because I think he deserves to run in one.
“The likes of Wincanton (Kingwell Hurdle), Sandown (Contenders Hurdle), the Morebattle (at Kelso) and maybe even Haydock.
“Usually the ground for their Champion Hurdle Trial (Haydock) is bottomless – but there’s no sign of any rain soon, so you never know.
“I’d say we’ll probably run in the Champion Hurdle, but we’re not kidding ourselves we’ll win it – it does look more open now, though.
“Verdana Blue beat Buveur D’Ai,r and we’ve beaten Verdana Blue – so if you like we’ve beaten the woman who beat the man!”
