Longhouse Sale will aim to extended the unbeaten start to his career to nine races in the Betway Summer Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen on Saturday.
Dan Skelton’s five-year-old won four bumpers and has won all three of his novice hurdles – as a strong favourite each time.
Skelton is well aware of the steep rise in grade he faces, but given the ease with which he has been winning it is difficult to know quite how good he is.
“He’s a great little horse. He’s unbeaten in eight, which is incredible,” Skelton told Sky Sports Racing.
“Unfortunately you can’t go up in small increments with him, he’s going up for a little novice hurdle where he was 1-10 into an open handicap where he has top weight.
“He’s got a lot on his plate, it’s not a step up of one or two leagues, he’s going up four leagues in one go – but if there’s a horse you’d love to have on your side at this time of year doing that, it is him.
