Dual 1000 Guineas heroine Hermosa will face eight rivals in the Qatar Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.
The daughter of Galileo caused a minor upset when striking gold in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket in early May, but proved that was no fluke when completing the Classic double at the Curragh three weeks later.
She came up short in her bid to complete a hat-trick in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot – filling the runner-up spot behind French raider Watch Me – but will be well fancied to get back on the winning trail on Thursday when she steps up to a mile and a quarter for the first time on the Sussex Downs.
Hermosa is one of two runners for Aidan O’Brien, along with Just Wonderful.
Watch Me’s trainer, Francis-Henri Graffard, saddles his French Oaks winner Channel.
Sir Michael Stoute fires a twin assault, with Rawdaa joined by stablemate Sun Maiden.
John Gosden’s Mehdaayih, Mark Johnston’s Nyaleti, the William Haggas-trained Maqsad and Japanese raider Deirdre complete the field.
