Eve Johnson Houghton is eyeing a Listed race at Windsor on Saturday week for Accidental Agent after his refusal to race at Ascot.
Last year’s winner of the Queen Anne Stakes stood stock still when the stalls opened in the first event of the Royal meeting on Tuesday.
With Lord Glitters winning, second in the same race to Accidental Agent 12 months ago, Johnson Houghton was understandably left thinking what might have been.
“He cantered away this morning and looks a million dollars, sound as a pound,” she said.
“The one next door (Romanised) was slowly away, and there are a lot of theories running around why he did it, but I don’t know what happened.
“People say last year’s race was a bad one – but the form is there, and I think he would have been thereabouts. We still know that he’s a good horse.
“We might go to Windsor for a Listed race (Midsummer Stakes) next week, then take in the Sussex Stakes.”
