Albigna will aim to maintain her unbeaten record in Friday’s Airlie Stud Stakes at the Curragh.

The Jessica Harrington-trained filly showed determination to win a maiden at the track recently and was supplemented for the Group Two.

She is owned by the Niarchos Family, who enjoyed such success with Harrington last season through the exploits of Alpha Centauri.

“She showed a really likeable attitude to win first time out and she has progressed nicely since then,” said Alan Cooper, racing manager to the owners.

“We missed the entry for the race by a day, the entries closed just before she ran so we had to supplement her – hopefully it proves worthwhile.

“Jessica’s record speaks for itself, she did brilliantly for us last year with Alpha Centauri and knows what it takes.”

Harrington also runs Between Hills, a winner at Listowel last time out.

Willie McCreery runs two in Ickworth, who reared up when the stalls opened in the Queen Mary last week, and Windham Belle.

“It didn’t go to plan at Ascot for Ickworth. As the stalls opened she was down on her hunkers, it’s unfortunate but it can happen,” said McCreery.

“The ground had gone against her anyway, she wants quick ground, so there was no harm done.

“The other filly ran well the last day against Pistoletto, who they (Coolmore) rate highly so we’ll see how she gets on.

“She’s done nothing wrong, she tries hard and she’ll have a break after this before a few of the sales races.”

The Ger Lyons-trained Peace Charter, who finished in front of Albany runner-up Celtic Beauty last time out, takes her chance.

Joseph O’Brien runs A New Dawn and Royal Affair while his father Aidan is represented by Blissful, Precious Moments and Tango.

Mick Halford’s Surrounds heads the weights for the 100,000 euro Finlay Volvo Cars Summer Fillies Handicap.

Grace Harris sends Bungee Jump over from her Mommouthshire base in search of a hat-trick, with Ken Condon’s Crafty Madam also of interest.

Lyons’ veteran 10-year-old Brendan Bracken carries top weight in the Under Starters Orders Handicap, in which stablemate Nickajack Cave looks the one to beat.
