Connections of East will wait until next week before deciding whether she will head to the Curragh for the Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas, following her excellent effort in France on Sunday.

Trainer Kevin Ryan will assess East over the next few days as she recovers from exertions at ParisLongchamp in the French 1000 Guineas that saw her finish third, beaten a length and a half by the winner Castle Lady.

“She ran a lovely race,” he said.

“I was delighted with her on her first run of the season, very happy.

“She’s fine and has come out of the race great.”

Ryan is nonetheless in no rush just yet to confirm plans to head to Ireland on May 26.

“She was travelling back home today,” he added.

“We’ll have to see how she is. No decision will be made about the Irish Guineas until early next week.

“She has loads of options. We’ll see how she is, speak to the owners early next week and have a chat.”
