Aidan O’Brien is likely to run both Capri and Southern France in the Saval Beg Levmoss Stakes at Leopardstown.

The pair are engaged as well in the Yorkshire Cup, also on Friday, but the Ballydoyle handler is keen to run them closer to home in a Listed race for which there are nine entries.

They contested the Group Three Vintage Crop Stakes on their reappearance, with Southern France third and Capri fifth at Navan.

“The plan is for both Capri and Southern France to head to Leopardstown,” said O’Brien.

“They are both entered in the Yorkshire Cup the same afternoon, but it’s more likely that we will keep them at home.”

He has won the Saval Beg six times – two fewer than Dermot Weld, who also has two in this year’s renewal, Falcon Eight and Make The Switch.

Joseph O’Brien has Vintage Crop scorer Master Of Reality in the mix.

Gordon Elliott is set to be represented in the mile-and-three-quarter event by last year’s Royal Ascot hero Pallasator. The Queen Alexandra Stakes winner will be having his first run since finishing unplaced in the Curragh Cup in early July.

“He’s in good shape, and I’m happy with how he has been going at home,” said Elliott.

“The plan is to get back to Ascot with him, and I’m keen to get a run into him, so Friday’s race looks ideal.”

The other entries are Kingsriver Diamond, Sam Missile and Twilight Payment.
