Andre Fabre’s improving Morgan Le Faye has the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud as a target at the end of next month.
The five-year-old mare has been a revelation since reverting to 10 furlongs, having finished third in last season’s Prix du Cadran over twice that distance.
Morgan Le Faye has won all three of her starts this term, most recently lifting the Group Two Prix Corrida.
Fabre puts her improvement down to maturity and is targeting the Group One he has won a record eight times before, most recently last year with Waldgeist.
“Now she will have to go in against the boys, and the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud is possible for her,” said Fabre.
“She always had a good turn of foot, but her problem was she didn’t settle and she got too far behind.
“Now she is wiser and she gives herself a chance – she has just matured and is now a very good mare.”
