Dr Simpson – who ran such a big race for Tom Dascombe when fifth at the Breeders’ Cup – is set to go under the hammer at the December Mare Sale at Tattersalls next week.
The daughter of Dandy Man enjoyed her finest hour when beating older rivals in the Group Three Mercury Stakes at Dundalk last month.
And she ended the season with a highly-creditable performance in the Juvenile Turf Sprint at Santa Anita, won by the Wesley Ward-trained Four Wheel Drive.
“I thought she ran great at Santa Anita,” said Dascombe.
“It looks like she’s going to the broodmare sale on Monday at Newmarket.
“She will potentially be sold as a racehorse, but also as a future broodmare – a five-furlong, two-time winning two-year-old is hopefully a valuable commodity.
“We’ll be sorry to see her go, but I’m sure she’ll go on to better things.”
