Sylvester Kirk is hoping to get Salouen back racing next year after his popular six-year-old suffered the recurrence of an old injury.
The Group One regular has been sidelined since finishing unplaced in the Irish St Leger at the Curragh in September 2019.
“He just had an little injury, and it recurred again,” said Kirk.
“He’s just having a break again, and we’re going to try to get him back racing for next year.”
As well as being a Listed winner, Salouen finished second in the Coronation Cup in 2018 and 2019 and has been in the money in a host of other major races.
