3.37 Ffos Las – Half-sister to No Half Measures, Mystic Veil faces Eskimo Pie
Eskimo Pie seeks her first success in the Faucets The Bathroom Specialists Maiden Fillies' Stakes (3:37) at Ffos Las, but she may have to overcome exciting debutante Mystic Veil.
Eskimo Pie finished a good seventh in the 2025 Queen Mary Stakes before finishing lame on her final start at two in the Princess Margaret. However, her first start as a three-year-old at Kempton was very promising, though she subsequently underperformed in her next two tries. The Kodi Bear filly was then bumped when looking to challenge at Newmarket last time out, but she still very much sets the standard here for the Jane Chapple Hyam team.
Mystic Veil is a half-sister to July Cup winner No Half Measures and is trained by Archie Watson - a handler renowned for his success with two-year-olds. The daughter of Showcasing could well succeed on her first outing, and so a market watch is considered essential in the build up.
The Ed Walker-trained Mollstar showed a respectable level of form on her third run before being reportedly found lame after her previous start at Chelmsford in December. Now returning from a lengthy break, the filly rates an interesting contender under 3lb-claimer Ashley Lewis.
Dixie Blue - a daughter of Starspangledbanner - makes her first start for Rod Millman, with the Chris Mason-trained Livvy's Edge completing the quintet following her debut sixth here last month.
4.37 Ffos Las - Narrjoo headlines following promising debut
Narrjoo headlines a field of seven for the Meyer Timber EBF Maiden Stakes (4:37).
Simon and Ed Crisford's representative finished second to exciting Godolphin newcomer Jassas when impressing on debut at Doncaster last month, and he will be tough to beat if running to a similar standard under Jack Callan. This 200,000 guineas son of Ten Sovereigns has future entries in the Champagne Stakes and Goffs Million, which indicates just how highly the colt is thought of at Gainsborough Stables.
Drum Bay and Isabella De Vega both similarly caught the eye on their respective debuts and so should provide a good level of opposition for Ralph Beckett and Ed Walker, respectively.
The most intriguing newcomer comes in the form of the 200,000 guineas Mehmas colt Engraved, who could run well first time up for the James Fanshawe team.
6.10 Ffos Las - Belle Of Kt bids for a hat-trick
Belle Of Kt bids for a hat-trick in the Dress For The Occasions Handicap (6:10), which closes the card at the Welsh track.
The admirably-consistent mare has found some improvement of late, putting a couple of wins together within the space of eight days. Stan Moore's five-year-old didn't seem to have loads in hand when scoring by a nose at Bath last time, but she should still put up a bold effort in search of a hat-trick, with Millie Wonnacott's 5lb claim potentially crucial.
The David Flood-trained A Daughters Love could prove tough to beat following a facile 10-length victory when bouncing back to from down in grade here earlier this month. The three-year-old clearly enjoys racing over this course and distance, though she has been raised 6lb for that comfortable success.
Noble Grace also won over this course and distance recently for Warren Greatrex, albeit in contrasting fashion after battling gamely in a terrific finish, with Bulldog Spirit also no back-number for Bernard Llewellyn and jockey Danny Muscutt.
