Not long now until the eagerly-awaited second outing on the Flat at Kempton Park for Nicky Henderson’s superstar Constitution Hill.
His well-publicised blips over hurdles are a thing of the past, as connections dare to dream what he might do on the level – and judged on his exhilarating debut under floodlights at Southwell last month, the sky could be the limit.
Michael Buckley’s pride and joy has arrived at the Sunbury track safe and well, ready to face seven rivals in the Virgin Bet Novice Stakes over a mile and a half at 7.30. Ryan Moore rides.
Early indications are there is a nice crowd building, too.
After Aim For The Bull hit the target in the Virgin Bet Handicap, winning jockey Callum Shepherd said: “It’s great to see a good crowd and I’d imagine over the next hour it will only get busier.
“Coming through reception it felt so vastly different to what we’re used to here on a Wednesday night, so it is encouraging and it’s nice to know when something exciting is happening people will turn up and support the sport.”
