Verdict
Jamada has shown ability in his three starts over the smaller obstacles, most recently finishing second at Lingfield, and he has to be taken seriously. Similar comments apply to Kara Sacre, but they both might be up against it with SHADE OF WINTER. The six-year-old produced an improved display when only finding one too good over track and trip last time in handicap company and this might be his day in the sun.
Expert View Verdict
KARA SACRE hasn't progressed since a promising hurdles debut at Naas in April of last year but his point win was still a most promising display and he made his debut for Venetia Williams at a time when the stable were out of form. He should come on plenty for that, dropping in trip, and can continue the recent resurgence in form of his trainer. Shade Of Winter is coming off a good run in a C&D handicap on deep ground and is a solid alternative, though may just be vulnerable to an improver such as the selection. Jamada has finished runner-up on two of three starts over hurdles and can again go well, although deep ground is now.
