Verdict
Despite carrying a 7lb penalty for winning at Fakenham last Friday, the handicapper reacted by putting MORNING MAYHEM up the same amount and a reproduction of that display would make him tough to beat. Master Dunraven ran his best race so far over hurdles when third at Plumpton last month and is entitled to build on that display, while Linden Lane completes the shortlist.
Expert View Verdict
Morning Mayhem is penalised for winning well at Fakenham but now has a penalty and, even with his rider's claim, plenty of weight to shoulder. It might be worth opposing him with MASTER DUNRAVEN, who has yet to win over hurdles but is coming off his best effort yet when a keeping-on third at Plumpton last time. He's off the same mark here and should be suited by the long straight. Linden Lane enters the race off a pair of solid efforts, most recently finishing third at Sedgefield, and he could have a say also, making him third choice.
