Verdict
Rap Soul has made a great start to his chasing career and has to be respected following back-to-back wins at Plumpton, but marginal preference is for VALIRANN GOLD. The nine-year-old showed a good attitude to score here a couple of weeks ago and a 3lb rise appears fair. Gorcombe Moonshine and Wellwillya have finished second to the same rival in recent weeks and are others to note.
Expert View Verdict
Hat trick seeker Rap Soul is likely to prove popular here. He is unbeaten over fences but he has gone up another 6lb for beating a perennial loser who finds nothing in a finish. Instead it may be worth taking a chance with KILL THE GROOVE on her chase debut as she's been running consistently well over hurdles of late. The handicapper has dropped her another pound and her point form suggests she'll improve for this longer trip and switch to fences. The consistent Wellwillya was just out-battled by a race fit rival last time and is another who will go close if building on that.
