Verdict
THROATLASH hasn't looked back since underdoing wind surgery, building on his Wetherby success when readily beating two rivals at Aintree. A further 6lb rise looks fairly lenient and, open to greater improvement with only five NH runs under his belt, he will prove a tough nut to crack. Icare Grandchamp is entitled to improve for his comeback run at Newbury and should be competitive off the same mark in this lesser event. Southoftheborder also drops in class, and his mark continues to fall, so he could be dangerous.
Expert View Verdict
This can go to THROATLASH, who has looked a completely different horse since having a wind op, winning both starts this season, including when impressively pulling clear of a similarly progressive sort at Aintree last time. A 6lb rise seems generous and he can complete the hat-trick. Bridge Court has run two solid races since being switched to fences and could be the danger, but does need more to get off the mark. Cerendipity is third on the list provided he's no worse for his last-time-out fall.
