Verdict
MBAPPE met trouble in running in his two starts prior to getting the upper hand over C&D last week. He could be tough to overhaul again, with Donagh Murphy's 5lb claim negating the mandatory penalty for that success. Berning Hot was less than two lengths back in third and has a feasible chance of turning the form around if mustering a little extra. Brinton and Galaxy Wonder are other old rivals who can have a say.
Expert View Verdict
This can go to GALAXY WONDER, who has progressed of late since joining Tony Carroll, winning dead-heating over extended 9f at Wolverhampton two starts back before performing well, despit being keen, down to this trip at Chelmsford last time. That race was run at a dawdling gallop and, provided he gets a better pace to aim at here, then he's taken to get back to winning ways. Berning Hot is weighted to reverse last week's C&D form with Mbappe, but does have an inexperienced rider aboard. The last-named must go well under a penalty with cheekpieces now enlisted.
