Verdict
There has been no stopping TOMMY'S PROMISE, whose winning streak started at Chelmsford last month. He's since added a hat-trick of C&D victories and although the latest was the narrowest of all, he is still fancied to defy a further 4lb rise. That hike now looks fair considering the runner-up has notched up a double in recent days. Alta Rica went close in a blanket finish over track and trip and is considered, while Bownder completes the shortlist.
Expert View Verdict
This could be a match race between ALTA RICA and Meet Me In Meraki. Preference is for the former who is the least exposed in the field and is open to improvement for her top yard. Her mark has been generously left untouched by the handicapper after she placed over C&D last time despite racing freely. She finished a place ahead of her re-opposing rival that day but he was poorly placed to challenge so can do better. The pair can pull clear from Tommy's Promise who has proven hugely progressive over the winter winning 4 in a row but she will need to pull out more to continue the sequence.
