Verdict
HUNTERS YARN may be worth siding with here. The Fame And Glory gelding was a smart sort for Willie Mullins and has won three from four for Pat Doyle since going point-to-pointing this season. His only blip was at Dromahane in late December when third to Wrappedupinmay, a horse that he had previously beaten with ease. He is fancied to turn the tables now with Ryehill, who was just in front of him at Dromahane. Panda Boy looks like the obvious one to beat after an impressive performance in his first hunters chase at Thurles last month. He beat another Doyle-trained horse in Lifetime Ambition that day.
Expert View Verdict
Panda Boy ran out a good winner from a useful yardstick on his hunter chase debut at Thurles but softer ground here is a potential issue, so it could come down to Hunters Yarn and RYEHILL instead. The selection finished ahead of Hunters Yarn, who got tired having travelled best, on his return in a point and can confirm the form back under rules, following up last year's win in the race. Hunters Yarn isn't lightly opposed, given he's won twice impressively since finishing behind the selection, but if this becomes a test of stamina the former smart 2m hurdler/novice chaser might be outlasted.
