Verdict
CYCLOP was touched off by a neck when second in the Lincolnshire National two weeks ago and will be eying up some compensation over this shorter trip, for all he has a 5lb rise in the ratings to overcome. Recent Bangor winner Snuff Box could give the selection most to think about, while there may also be a big run on the cards from Orchardstown Cross, who has been eased 2lb for finishing a well-held fourth at Newbury.
Verdict
The thriving CYCLOP would have won at Market Rasen last time but for suffering interference on the turn, so he's an obvious choice to get back to winning ways up against a mostly uninspiring bunch. Last-time-out winner Snuff Box may pose the main danger, though Orchardstown Cross is better than his current mark if he can find his best form.
