Expert Analysis
The Champion Hurdle form was given substance at Aintree, and Lossiemouth did the same here to win in fine style, the fifth from the Cheltenham race chasing her home. The winner remains the one to beat in this division with no standout two-miler novice hurdlers.
LOSSIEMOUTH was again in cheekpieces and ran out an easy winner, tracking the pace and travelling strongly into the straight before going clear.
GOLDEN ACE was wearing cheekpieces for the first time and got closer to winner than she had at Cheltenham. She made the running and should well continue to be competitive in these races.
WILFUL was well-positioned when winning the County Hurdle but backed that effort up here and will not be out of place in the British Graded hurdles next season.
ANZADAM has been beaten in his five tries at Grade 1 level this season and was keen again - he made mistakes.
WILLIAM MUNNY was something new in these races, having his first run since last year’s Supreme, but he gave himself little chance by racing keenly in the first half of the race. Next season will reveal more about where he fits in.
GLEN KILN struggled with the pace of this sort of race in the Morgiana in November, and it was a similar story.
ABSURDE is in a lull just now.
