Verdict
Point winner Follow Your Luck changed hands for 90,000 pounds last April and the booking of Brian Hughes is noteworthy. Division Day outran his odds to finish second at Doncaster and is respected, but it may pay to side with SWINGINGONTHESTEEL. Rebecca Menzies' gelding was sent off at long odds-on when disappointing in fourth over 2m1f here in November, but that is unlikely to be his true running and the dual bumper winner can make amends.
Expert View Verdict
SWINGINGONTHESTEEL looked a useful prospect when a dual bumper winner last spring and the fact that he went off so short on his hurdling debut on his return suggests that run was too bad to be true. His previous victories have been boosted in this discipline so if brushing up on his jumping he can defeat multiple flat winner Division Day who flew home behind a useful rival last time. Point winner Shinealight shaped well first time out over hurdles and is forgiven her last run where nothing got into the race. She can bounce back and fill the places here if getting a decent test.
