Verdict
ON THE INLET ran out a comfortable winner on handicap debut at Southwell last week and the manner of that performance suggests he should have no issue in backing up under a 6lb penalty. Sup Of Red is capable of being in the mix if ridden more positively after her latest C&D fifth, while Clear Above is expected to step forward making his handicap bow.
Expert View Verdict
ON THE INLET is a strong selection here. He had plenty in hand when making a winning handicap debut over 1m last time and looks thrown in under a 6lb penalty. He can get across from his wide draw and lead home Clear Above who has been given a generous opening mark after proving steadily progressive in maidens. The consistent Sup Of Red may ideally want a mile but she will also pose a threat if getting a stiff test.
