OF CORSE I CAN won this by two lengths off a mark just 1lb lower under Bradley Harris last season and, following a second C&D victory in September, the same combination look all set to make a bold bid to win it again. Top-weight Broadway Honey is not one to ignore with the Twiston-Davies team in fine fettle and she could prove a bigger danger to the selection than Newton Abbot third McGregors Charge.

Anniversary is an interesting recruit to hurdling having claimed the scalp of Scandinavia in a Newmarket maiden on his debut back in 2024, but he may have to give way to those with jumping experience. DOWN TO BUSINESS broke through at Worcester readily enough before a below-par effort at the same circuit. He could take to this tight track and have too many gears for Irish raider Eben Zaabeel, who won a minor race at Downpatrick, despite some sketchy jumping.

Our Wee Horse is an interesting newcomer as a half-brother to plenty of winners, including the smart Thunder Rock, although a market watch may give us a better idea of his chances. SALKADAN made all to win by 10 lengths over track and trip in late August and could be very hard to peg back if Harry Skelton tries the same tactics, with fellow C&D winner Royal Sapphire his main rival.

The winner of four of his last five starts, MOVE WITH THE BEAT returns to action with strong claims. Raised 4lb for his latest victory at Newton Abbot in May, Jamie Snowden's chaser is taken to continue winning ways at the main expense of Midnight Jewel, who was recording his fifth victory at the track with last month's success. American Land will be sharper for his recent spin here and could make the frame.

Fresh from a couple of good efforts on the Flat, BIRTHDAY ANGEL makes plenty of appeal back over timber. Lydia Richards' inmate is only 4lb higher than when successful at Wincanton towards the end of last year and the six-year-old will be at home on the quick ground. Not at his best last time, Crown Of India has a shout on his second at Market Rasen in July, while Devon Red could also go well.

MR MCWHINNY was on really good terms with himself when scoring at Newton Abbot at the beginning of last month and continued that good form throughout September en route to completing a hat-trick back at the Devonshire venue. Back over hurdles for this assignment, he's improved markedly for this yard and it's difficult to envisage anything other than a big performance. Jefe Triunfo is the main danger on the back of a smooth Plumpton success, while Glance Of Glory isn't without a squeak.

WINSTON'S OATH looks the answer to the finale and should go very close if building on an improved effort here. He'd not been able to land a telling blow on the Flat, but showed a bit more when ridden differently at Brighton and Sean Bowen adopted similar front-running tactics on his return to hurdling duty when finishing half-a-length second to No Mean Feat in a first-time visor. This could be the time to catch him as he's taken to reverse that form on 1lb better terms. Keep an eye on County Champs too.
