Verdict

Having finished behind Hey Hey and Tinderella when only fifth here, Fort Marsh improved past those rivals to hit the crossbar, again over C&D. Kingsbury Dream brings solid form to the table, but JUJU'S SPECIALGIRL usually keeps stronger company than this and can make a successful beginning to life at Hawthorne.

SCENT OF SUCCESS was adrift of Ready At Midnight when they took minor honours over track and trip in October, but the latter has disappointed since and Hugh Robertson's filly can gain her revenge. Forty Pieces has to be considered closely, with Grammar worth a second look on debut.

A switch in tactics saw Special Pryce almost make all over 6f, but hot on his heels was the debutant POLITO and natural improvement can help the son of Three Hour Nap improve past his rival. Opus Equus was behind them in fourth but should do better now he has the return under his belt.
