Forest Berry has looked a different proposition since sporting a hood, winning at Wolverhampton and Musselburgh, but an added 6lb makes things tougher. A mark of 71 seems fair for Pequenita on her nursery debut following her recent second at Lingfield, but WOODHAY WAYFARER is preferred. She ran on strongly to win at Newmarket and a fast-run race here would play to her strengths.
Handicap debutante Pequenita surely has a bigger effort in her now handicapping as she went a little too fast in front last time. She represents top connections and an opening mark of 71 might underestimate her but FOREST BERRY is thriving at present, improving for the step up to 8f last time when scoring at Musselburgh, and the return to AW clearly won't be an issue with a winner at Wolverhampton the time before. Woodhay Wayfarer, a winner on her handicap debut at Newmarket's July course, is respected also with her new mark fair.

CAVOLO NERO moved to Harry Eustace after winning at Yarmouth in June before following up over C&D with a comfortable length and three-quarter victory. An added 5lb may not stop him landing the hat-trick. Exposure wasn't beaten far in fourth here in August and races off the same mark making the Expert Eye gelding of interest, while the three-year-old Victory Ace could also get into the mix in his bid for a four-timer.
This is most competitive, as one would hope so for a series final, and there are plenty in with strong claims. Top of the list is the Sir Mark Prescott-trained WARRIOR MODE. The lightly-raced 4yo ended 2025 on a low note, twice disappointing after a wind op, but he's returned a seemingly improved model this year, backing up a promising Newmarket return in July with a strong victory upped to a mile over C&D last time. A 4lb rise seems fair and, with further improvement likely, he rates the likely winner. Hat-trick seeker Cavolo Nero likes it here and remains fairly weighted, so is likely to be thereabouts once again. He rates the danger, although Victory Ace, on a four-timer but from a much high mark now, Exposure, who still retains some potential for top connections, and The Liffey, who has returned to top form since joining new connections, can all play a part as well.

Dubai Future is still going strong at 10 and drops in class after finishing a close-up third in the Grosser Preis von Berlin and may have a better chance than his odds imply, though stable companion Tornado Alert was only a head behind on his first start of the year and is 3lb better off now. GETHIN steps back up in trip after pulling too hard before finishing fifth to Constitution River in the Eclipse and could bounce back if settling better. It will be interesting to see how Constitution Hill fares after his brace of novice victories earlier in the year.
A cracking edition of the race, all eyes will once again be on former Champion Hurdle winner Constitution Hill, who has kept us waiting to see his third run, and first at Pattern-level, on the Flat. He's barely broken sweat in winning a pair of novice events, including over C&D when last seen in March, but will surely be made to work harder here in against some rock-solid Group 3 performers as well as former German Group 1 winner in Tornado Alert and the classy GETHIN. The selection was an impressive winner over 10f here on his reappearance in April and then improved on that to just miss out to Ombudsman in the Brigadier Gerard at Sandown. He never looked happy on fast ground in the Eclipse but has been given a nice little break and the step back up to 12f ought not to be an issue. He's just preferred to Tornado Alert who returned from just over 12 months off with a fine fourth in a Group 1 at Hoppegarten four weeks ago. He split Dubai Future (third) and Almeric (sixth) on that occasion and retains significant potential as a lightly-raced 4yo and was a winner on his only previous AW run.

Andrew Balding trained last year's winner and MOONRISE is expected to launch a strong challenge. A C&D winner on debut, the progressive Churchill filly finished second in the Windsor Castle before landing a Group 3 race back at Ascot and she remains of interest, despite her 3lb penalty. Adaay Of Scarlett is proven at a high level, finishing second in a number of Group 2 contests, and has to be considered dangerous. He can improve past Agamemnon, who was a position in front of him when fourth in the Gimcrack.
Moonrise scored over C&D on debut and she's progressed nicely since, winning a Group 3 at Ascot last time, but she has a penalty now as a result and is also drawn wide, so it's ADAAY OF SCARLETT who is the selection. He's established himself at Group 2 level, finishing runner-up on three consecutive occasions in that grade before getting caught a little too far back at York last time when tried in cheekpieces. This test will suit better and he's taken to get back on track under Rossa Ryan. Tawakal hasn't got the form in the book of the two already mentioned but retains plenty of potential and he's third choice. Efsixteen is worth considering also with the step up to 6f here likely to suit.

VEIL OF CLOUDS was allowed to bowl along in front at Lingfield last time and never looked like being caught. She'll find this tougher raised 8lb, but the daughter of Pinatubo is still improving and could prove hard to catch if adopting similar tactics. Shallow finished a close second at Newmarket recently and the dual C&D winner has solid claims back at this venue, while both Zighy and last year's winner Powdering have a bit to find with the former on Newmarket running.
Veil Of Clouds scored easily at Lingfield last time, but she was beating only two runners and had an easy time on the front end, so this will be tougher off 8lb higher. Former C&D winner Shallow is respected but this can go to RUMBLE RUBY at the foot of the weights. She's been most progressive, albeit at a lower level, and promises to improve for the step back up to 6f. Top weight Zighy is a tough and consistent sort and very much respected also.

PRIMO LARA made a winning start for Jane Chapple-Hyam at Ascot in July and wasn't disgraced when fourth off this mark at York most recently. Having previously won on Polytrack, switching to a synthetic surface holds no fears for the consistent son of New Bay, who is likely to be popular with Billy Loughnane booked for the ride. Whitcombe Rockstar is a seven-time course winner that would be dangerous to sell short back at his favourite venue, while Tiernan and Majestic are others with reasonable claims.
Astro King isn't the horse he was in 2024 but he's down to a good mark and now tries cheekpieces, so could easily have a big say, but a more sensible option is PRIMO LARA. He won twice in July, including over this trip at Ascot, and there was nothing wrong with his subsequent fourth at York in a big-field handicap. He remains on a good mark dropping back down in grade and rates the likely winner. Tiernan is third choice coming off a fair run on handicap debut at Hamilton.

Campeona edged out AN BRADAN FEASA by a neck when she won at Lingfield in early August and although the former commands respect, the latter is 4lb better off at the weights and can reverse the form with Oisin Murphy booked to drive him home this time. That is not to undersell Naval Tribute, whose Newbury success was the latest in a string of progressive efforts. However, he is now 6lb higher and looks vulnerable under top weight.
Naval Tribute has won three of his last five starts and he's improved of late since stepping up to 16f, scoring with a bit in hand at Newbury last time. He's a big player once again, but there's more to come still from the 3yo filly CAMPEONA, who was a three-time winner in little over two weeks in July/early August. She was defeated at Pontefract last time, but could prove suited by returning to an AW surface back from three weeks off. Flash Kozo is in fine form himself and has more to offer upped to 16f now perhaps.
