EPATANTE was highly progressive last season and she was an impressive winner of the Champion Hurdle when last seen in March. That was far from a vintage renewal of that contest but Nicky Henderson's mare is still the one they all have to beat this afternoon. Sceau Royal has appreciated the return to hurdles in recent months, albeit at a lower level, and it would be no surprise to see him in the mix once again. Last year's winner Cornerstone Lad should not be underestimated, while Silver Streak and Ribble Valley also merit places the shortlist.
