Lady Kara has turned a corner on her last couple of starts with victories at Hereford and over C&D last month. That said, whether she can give a 12lb penalty to COLEGRAM is another matter. A dual point-to-point winner, the six-year-old may well have been a bargain buy at 21,000 pounds for Dan Skelton at the recent Goffs UK Spring sale. Steal A Glance and Likewhatyousee are others to consider.

The step up in trip appeared to be the key for WINNING PADDY here over fences last week. Reverting to hurdles on this occasion, Alexandra Dunn's gelding is 8lb well-in compared to his revised chase figure and may well have further improvement to come. Jack's Jury also returns to the smaller obstacles after unseating at Ffos Las and is capable of being in the mix, while Final Entry may build on a solid effort at Taunton in April.

BLUE SIAM makes plenty of appeal in a contest where all of her rivals arrive with something to prove. Syd Hosie's filly ran with credit to be third on her handicap hurdle bow at Stratford and that form alone appears to be good enough for her to get off the mark. The market will be interesting for her stable companion Crab Road, who makes his UK debut, while Minnie Belle is noted on her first start in handicap company.

MORNING MAYHEM continues to hold his form well and the five-year-old arrives following a wide-margin success here last week. Nick Scholfield's charge is 3lb well-in under a penalty and a repeat of that effort would make him tough to oppose. Siam Park returned to the smaller obstacles after failing to complete in two chase outings when runner-up at Worcester. He could pose the main threat, while Donnie Azoff heads the remainder.

Nicky Henderson implied that La Pinsonniere had all the attributes to make up into a useful novice chaser in his stable tour last term and the consistent mare does at the very least warrant a close look, but a slight edge in experience can win the day for RICKETY BRIDGE. Paul Nicholls' gelding made it two from two over the larger obstacles when recording back-to-back C&D triumphs and he could still have plenty in hand from 4lb higher. Court In A Storm can chase the pair home.

Beorma continued her rapid rise when completing a five-timer at Worcester on Thursday and would probably be the one to beat if turned out quickly again, but COBBLER'S BOY gets the nod. A wide-margin winner over track and trip before finding one too strong back over hurdles, he looks likely to mount another serious challenge. First Angel cannot be dismissed lightly.

Blinded By Grace was able to build on an encouraging debut effort to score at Uttoxeter on his return, but having to shoulder a penalty might scupper his chances because Dan Skelton's team is unstoppable at present. Their representative PARK HALL, successful between the flags last month, may well be yet another from the yard to make an immediate impact on the racecourse. Poppycat is a half-sister to dual Grand National hero Tiger Roll, which should be noted at the very least.
