Charlie Appleby sent out last year's winner and MYSTERIOUS TIMES looks a likely type on debut. The Night Of Thunder progeny cost 425,000gns as a yearling and is a brother to a winning sprinter. Purchased at the Goffs Breeze-up in April, Henley On Thames could be ready for action at the first time of asking, while Viking Barbie took a step forward at Salisbury last time and Oisin Murphy takes over the reins.

SILVER WRAITH could prove the safest proposition in a typically open sprint. Emma Lavelle's admirably consistent filly found one too good at Bath when bidding for a hat-trick and will likely be thereabouts at the finish once again off the same mark. Charlie Mason scored over 6f on the turf at Lingfield last week. He could shape well again under a 5lb penalty, while last year's third Lipsink is worth a second look on his reappearance.

A solid case can be made for MARCHING MAC in a competitive affair. He bounced back with a decent third in a higher grade at Windsor just four days ago, having won off a higher mark last term, and Phil McEntee's charge is also versatile as regards the going. Nogo's Dream drops in class with a shout on recent efforts, while Betties Bay has been in fine form over 6f and Cayman Tai is not out of this either.

Pat's Cash ducked to the right at the start on his debut at Haydock before running on into second over this trip. Barring a repeat of that mischief, he will make a bold attempt under Oisin Murphy. Encounter was also second on debut but he needs a move forward after being beaten six lengths at Lingfield, and a chance is taken on newcomer KING'S WELCOME. Charlie Appleby has won two of the last five runnings of this, and the 1,900,000gns son of Wootton Bassett could add to those.

Alan King and Rossa Ryan have each won two of the last five runnings, including when teaming up last season, and they are back for more with Newbury fourth Alcarath, who has a solid chance. The lightly-raced Bella's Path could be interesting on her first start for Charlie Pike and with improvement expected this year, but DANGERMAN might be the one. The Godolphin gelding has won two of his three starts over C&D and seems sure to improve for his Epsom fourth in a better contest.

Brighton View showed improvement for this trip to win by a neck at Newbury and can go well off a 2lb higher mark. Dryburgh will go up 4lb for future races after his Doncaster second suggesting he is well in here, but the rise in class may find him out and EDWIN HUBBLE gets the nod. A four-race maiden who makes his handicap debut upped in trip, with plenty of stamina on the dam's side of his pedigree, he could make into a decent handicapper this season.

EUPHONIA seems to have turned inside out since being switched to turf, having gone up a combined total of 18lb for victories at Leicester and Haydock, and Ed Walker's filly may not have reached her ceiling yet. Kimbara has shown enough promise to suggest an opening mark of 72 is a workable one and he enters the reckoning, along with Lohoobb and Dark Sovereign.

The combination of stepping up in trip and switching to handicap company has seen KING OF BERKSHIRE win two of his last four starts. The most recent success came at Thirsk last Friday and the extra couple of furlongs on this occasion may yet bring further improvement from Andrew Balding's colt. Red Rifle impressed when tackling 1m4f for the first time at Catterick and has to be respected, along with Wardlaw, who sports blinkers for the first time.
