Alastair Ralph is enjoying an already memorable 2020/21 Jumps season with his 22 winners and £163, 653 in prize money sweeping past the previous season’s 15 winners and the promise of plenty more to come from his Bridgnorth base in Shropshire.
Ralph was denied the chance to hunt for listed glory with his mare Tintern Abbey at Market Rasen when the meeting was abandoned but looks likely to get a second chance in the rearranged event at Cheltenham on Saturday, and it is the gradual evolvement of his Bind Farm team that is particularly excited the trainer.
Alastair said: “This season has been amazing and it’s all about improving the quality and we have managed to do that again.”
“I am the frontman, but you can’t do anything with the efforts of the team behind you and they have all been a tremendous help and I can’t praise them enough.
Alastair has several young embryo horses that he hopes will soon have their sights heightened and he kindly talked to Tony Elves of attheraces.com about his squad for the coming months.
